3 Simple Dry Skin Tips

Dry skin can be such a drag. I know – I’ve lived with it for several years, too! You can’t seem to be able to use any makeup as it always looks flakey on you; your skin is itchy after every wash; and so on. Because if this, many people with this kind of skin really can’t enjoy life to its fullest. That makes me really sad, as I know that when you care for your skin the right way, it won’t be a problem anymore!

That’s why I put together these dry skin care tips. Learning how to heal your skin naturally can really make a difference in how you feel and look. The following three dry skin tips are the ones that I have noticed to be the most effective ones for me. I hope they will help you as well!

1. Eat natural foods, rich in fruits, vegetables, including nuts, whole-grains, potatoes and rice. Forget processed foods and “paleo” – eating that much hormone-laden meat will play tricks on your body, this will show on your skin, too. It may be hard in the beginning, but it is vital if you want to feel healthy and help your dry skin. Your skin absolutely needs nutrients, vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants from real foods to heal.

2. Hydrate from within. Can you guess what I am about to say? You got it: water, water, water! Drink 8 glasses of it daily and see the changes on your skin. Skip the soda and have another glass of water for every cup of coffee you have, as coffee dries you up instead of hydrating your body. Drinking enough of water is essential for making your skin less dry again, so make it a priority.

3. Moisturize your face and body daily with a high quality skin care creams and lotions. Find the best moisturizer for dry skin you can get your hands on. I personally recommend all-natural skin care which contains shea butter, grapeseed oil, jojoba oil as well as avocado oil. These are four very good ingredients for dry skin, because they have extremely good moisturizing abilities, but don’t make your skin oily for hours and hours. They are often not found all in one product, so you have to do some research and perhaps get a day and a night cream separately, but it is worth it.

Bonus dry skin tip: in fact, if you have dry skin and you are using synthetic, which means not 100% natural skin care, there’s a good chance these products are the reason your skin is dry in the first place.

Eat clean, drink enough of fresh water and use the best moisturizers for dry skin, and I’ll bet you’ll see improvement in your skin within a few weeks.
