Sunless airbrushing is a bit of an art but it’s not too hard to learn. This spray tanning guide will help you acheive your best spray tan ever. 8 Spray Tanning Tips:
1. In the video, she started by taking a shower. It’s best to spray tan before you put on anything such as makeup, lotions, deodorant, etc.
2. Wear something minimal if anything, like a thong, as you’ll be left with white patches underneath and be sure to remove all jewelry.
3. You can use a hair net or turban to protect your hair but keep your ear out. You can use sticky feet to avoid getting sunless on your soles.
4. Spray evenly and use a bronzer spray tan if possible so you can see your progress and not over-spray or under-spray any areas.
5. As advised, take a deep breath and close your eyes. Remember it can be a little cold. Wear protective eyewear.
6. When you’re dry you can get dressed however you should ideally wear loose, dark clothing and loose shoes or sandals. Dark clothing so you won’t stain lighter clothing and loose so you don’t rub off the solution.
7. If you want to wear perfume that is fine however make sure to apply it to your clothes and not your skin for the first few hours.
8. You can shower after 6-8 hours, although some products allow it sooner. Read the bottle to make sure of the wait time. I prefer to wait until the night or the next day for a maximum bronze time. DHA develops over a few hours.
